About me
It all started when I volunteered
to be a clown at a friend’s birthday party. Needless to say, for
several years I went about it all the wrong way. Make up off the
shelf at Wal-mart and NO EDUCATION! Then I stumbled on a wonderful
clown alley in Denver Colorado. The Colorado Clowns. I took their
10 week clown class and have been clowning… (The proper way) ever
since! The Colorado Clowns taught me all the wonderful aspects of
being a traditional clown, but it didn't stop there. I have
attended many workshops, conventions, and Jams since that first
class. Clown teachers include, Karen Bell, Tricia Bothun, Jim
Howell and Frosty Little all formally with RBBB circus, and many
many others!
I helped to co-found a non profit organization (clown alley) in Tulsa Oklahoma. Klownz Around Tulsey Town Inc. I have served as President for several years, as well as Vice president in charge of education. I introduced the first clown college in Tulsa, and several clown alleys have been born from this! I have also taught classes in other states to help promote the art of clowning.
I am active in many different clowning avenues. Clown education, community and charity work, non-profit fund raising as well as hospital and nursing homes. “Chatters” has also performed in numerous shows for just about every occasion you can think of! Birthday parties, company events, school safety shows, libraries, malls, grand openings, even weddings and a funeral.
My clowning skills include, balloon art, comedy magic, face painting, juggling, games, storytelling, skits and general clowning!! I love working with both adults and children!
Before becoming a full time entertainer, I worked in day care and teaching! I feel education and communication are a very important part of life. Clowning is my passion and comes from the heart!
